Who it's for
Structure fires. Wildland deployments. High-rise rescues. HAZMAT response. Your watch needs to survive the entry, not just the photos after. Martino is built for what you actually do on shift — not what looks good in a catalog.
Use cases
We designed Martino by talking to firefighters about what fails them — in structure, wildland, and technical rescue. Not by guessing from the outside.
You're going in. Full bunker gear, SCBA, structure gloves. A standard watch crown is impossible to operate at that point. Martino's 8mm knurled crown was specifically sized for glove operation — structure fire gloves included. Bezel has 120 clicks of positive feedback you can feel without looking.
Three days in the field. No charger, no watchmaker, no problem. Quick-swap nylon strap in 30 seconds with your hands — no tools. 200M water resistance means creek crossings and rain don't matter. MIL-STD-810H means being thrown in a gear bag 40 times is fine.
Swiss Grade C3 Super-LumiNova on every index and both hands. Oversized Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, 9 — sized for smoke conditions, not display case conditions. T100 tritium illumination layer charges from ambient light and glows for hours without a charge. You can read this watch without looking directly at it.
316L stainless case is resistant to most common HAZMAT chemicals. Sapphire crystal doesn't scratch from debris. No exposed crown position to snag PPE — screwdown crown locks flush. IP68 rated for submersion, not just splash.
Breathable nylon weave developed for extended wear under turnout gear. No metal bracelet heat transfer during flash exposure scenarios. No pressure points that become painful after hour 16. Sized for wrist variability across the shift — swelling, gear removal, reassessment.
What firefighters say
"I've gone through four watches in eight years on the job. Two crown failures, one shattered crystal, one strap that literally disintegrated in a wildland deployment. If Martino's specs hold up in testing, it's the first watch I'd actually recommend to a probie."Station Captain, Engine Company — Pacific Northwest (illustrative — real quotes pending field testing)
"The glove thing is real. I've had watches I literally couldn't set the time on while wearing structure gloves. The crown was physically too small. An 8mm knurled crown changes that completely."Firefighter / Paramedic, Urban USAR Team (illustrative — real quotes pending field testing)
"My department doesn't care what watch you wear, but command does notice when someone's wearing something that looks like they bought it for an airsoft game. Martino looks like a working watch. That matters."Ladder Company Engineer, Metro Department (illustrative — real quotes pending field testing)
